My Animation.

Morph Animation

In this project we were set out into groups of 2-3 people. In our groups we had to make a chracter similiar to how 'Morph' was made. In my group I had Ash and Tamara and we first did a drawing on a sheet of plain paper to get our ideas of how our character will look like before we had to go on and make them using play dough. Once we had drawn our characters on the plain paper we then had to make our characters. When making our characters we had to name them and give them a special power and a fear. My characters name was 'OG Loc' and his special power was he had a 'Jet-Pack' so he can fly wherever he needed to be. His fear was that he was frightened of the police named as '5-0' in his vocablary. When making my character with the play dough I found this hard as I was not use to using play dough and making my character seemed a bit hard as the shape of my character was different from head to toe. When eventually making and finishing my character we then got onto recording. Before recording we had to make a story boardon how we wanted to set out our story. As a group we had a bunch of ideas but we then all decided on we shall do a rap battle as we thought it would add humour and excitement at the same time. As there were three characters one was the DJ and the other two were contestants. Our clip only lasted about 40 seconds so we had to fit in so much in little time. This is something we could of improved on. We could of also improved on our timing as we a rush on our hands on the final week of priduction. Overall I thought as a group we done well to set out what we wanted to to do. I thought that as a group we worked as a team we barely had any disagreements on anything and everyone stuck to there task. The only shame was we had so much things to do in less time so next time we should try and pick something that can fit our timeline of the deadline.

Cut Out Anime

Cut Out Animation

Cut out animation is due to all your imagination and how you like to explore mind into something that has an effect. The process of cut out animation is that you choose an magazine or a newspaper and choose different pictures that you enjoy or would like to show in your animation. Terry Gilliam is a great example of the things he does in cut out animation. He uses techniques and has a great effect on the work he does. He uses techniques by experimenting different stuff seeing if they bond collectively.

Me and Arban did one on celebrities and the accessories they wear and have. We used istop motion to change this about with objects that we have cut out. The objects we cut out were things like eyes, trousers and jewellery. We did this by using a camera which was connected to istop motion and we started moving the objects to the way we had set it out. As i recorded arban moved the objects to the sequence we had planned.

My strengths and weaknesses are that I feel confident using istop motion but did feel it did take a while form me to get use to the buttons that were worthy for use when making my sequence. My weakness is that trying to move my hand out of the frame when needed to but then got use to it towards then end.

I found cut out animation very fun and did enjoy it.
