Cut Out Animation

Cut out animation is due to all your imagination and how you like to explore mind into something that has an effect. The process of cut out animation is that you choose an magazine or a newspaper and choose different pictures that you enjoy or would like to show in your animation. Terry Gilliam is a great example of the things he does in cut out animation. He uses techniques and has a great effect on the work he does. He uses techniques by experimenting different stuff seeing if they bond collectively.

Me and Arban did one on celebrities and the accessories they wear and have. We used istop motion to change this about with objects that we have cut out. The objects we cut out were things like eyes, trousers and jewellery. We did this by using a camera which was connected to istop motion and we started moving the objects to the way we had set it out. As i recorded arban moved the objects to the sequence we had planned.

My strengths and weaknesses are that I feel confident using istop motion but did feel it did take a while form me to get use to the buttons that were worthy for use when making my sequence. My weakness is that trying to move my hand out of the frame when needed to but then got use to it towards then end.

I found cut out animation very fun and did enjoy it.

Stop Motion Animation

Zoetrope

A zoetrope is a device that produces an illusion of action from a rapid succession of static pictures. It consists of a cylinder with slits cut vertically in the sides. Beneath the slits on the inner surface of the cylinder is a band which has either individual frames from a video/film or images from a set of sequenced drawings or photographs. As the cylinder spins the user looks through the slits at the pictures on the opposite side of the cylinder's interior. The scanning of the slits keeps the pictures from simply blurring together so that the user sees a rapid succession of images producing the illusion of motion, the equivalent of a motion picture. Cylindrical zoetropes have the property of causing the images to appear thinner than their actual sizes when viewed in motion through the slits.he zoetrope was invented in 1834 by William Horner.

I created my ZOETROPE by using a sheet of paper which had 11 boxes each box split by one line and had to make a animation, the first box and last box had to have the same picture. In the middle it had to reach the top of the page so it'll look good on either side of the middle box. On the left side of the middle box you would make sure it goes down towards the first box and for the right hand side you would do the same thing and then once it is done you would put it in the ZOETROPE and your animation would appear.

About Me

My names Imran Shoheb Miah, I am 18 and I come from a country in South America called Guyana. At the moment I am living in North West London. Every year I travel to different places to learn about different cultures. I have a passion for media as I like the media industry and what happens in the media world. I'm very passionate about sports but out of all I would say I love football and I support Chelsea. My hobbies are going out with mates having a social within one and another. I also like playing video games especially FIFA and Call Of Duty. The person who I inspire is Michael Jordan because he never gave up on what he wanted to do and he had blips which he beat to become successful and gain the respect he gets from people now. My greatest achievement was me gaining a qualification called CompTIA A+. I would say a location that is special for me is Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road SW6, London, I would say this is because this where all my expressions can be let out on something that I love and where no body can question me for the things i admire because people who go here have the same qualities and hobbies nearly. For my future I would like to attend a University preferably abroad to another country so I can also gain experience but in the next 15 years I would like to see myself living the American dream. Half this dream is me living in California and having a family living a dream.
